Holiday Highlights

Airport - Anuradhapura Via Yapahuwa

Day 01

A representative will meet you at the Bandaranayake International Airport and take you to your hotel in Anuradhapura. On the way to your luxury inn will have a sneak peak of Yapahuwa Rock Fortress and its historical value. Afterwards check in to your room and you will go on a city tour of the first capital of Sri Lanka, Anuradhapura. You will see the remains of the Brazen Palace (which was once 9 stories high) and the Sri Maha Bodhi a Bo Tree, which is over 2000 years old and grew from the branch of the very tree beneath which the Buddha attained enlightenment. At the end of the tour, you will return to your hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.

Anuradhapura / Sigiriya

Day 02

After breakfast, you will visit the ruins of the Ruwanweliseya Dagaba. You will see the 2nd Century BC shrine containing the Buddha’s collarbone relic, the Abhayagiriya temple and the Jetawanaramaya dagabas. Next is a visit to the Kuttam Pokuna (also known as the twin ponds) and the Samadhi Buddha, a statue of the Buddha in a meditative pose, which is being acknowledge worldwide as a masterpiece. Then, you will proceed to Sigiriya, on the way visit some attractions in Sigiriya. Overnight at Sigiriya.

Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa

Day 03

After breakfast, you will proceed to Polonnaruwa, the second capital of Sri Lanka in the 11th and 12th centuries. You will visit the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Lankatilleke Vihare (3rd century AD) the Thuparama Dagoba and the Gal Vihare, three splendid statues of the Buddha in upright, sedant and recumbent postures carved out of a large rock. Other interesting sights are the Lotus Bath, Tivanke Image House with the best-known Buddhist frescoes of Sri Lanka, and manmade Parakarama Samudra built by Parakarama Bahu the great. At the end of the tour, you will have a playtime with wild at Minneriya or Kaudulla National Parck. Overnight at Sigiriya. Overnight at Sigiriya.

Sigiriya - Kandy Via Dambulla

Day 04

After breakfast, you will visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress built by King Kasyapa the Patricide (473-491) who was considered a god king. Having climbed the rock, you will encounter the remains of the Palace and its environs and see the famous frescoes. En route to Kandy, you will visit the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple and stop at a spice garden at Matale. Overnight at Kandy.

Day 05

After breakfast, you will go on a tour of Kandy and the Upper Lake Drive and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and witness cultural dance performance. In addition, visit Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, much More Sightseeing in Knadiyan Kingdom, which is the last Kings capital, and last kingdom of Sri Lanka. Overnight at Kandy High-end Hotel for your relaxation. You will proceed to Colombo, stopping to visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya and the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela. At the end of the tour, you will be taken to Colombo or transferred to the airport for your departure.

Kandy - Bentota

Day 06

After breakfast, you will proceed to Bentota, stopping at Special Three Temple of Gadoladeniya / Ambakke / Lankathilaka. In the evening check in to luxury, beach resort in Bentota have a good chill in the view of the Indian Ocean.

Bentota - Colombo

Day 07

Bentota is a resort town on Sri Lanka in southwest coast. Bentota is a Lagoon, rich in Coral, and full activities like Bentota River Safari, Water Sport. After a good and tasty Sri Lankan breakfast, we will have all the fun we can get in Bentota. In the evening we will travel to Colombo and on route we check out the centuries-old Galapota Temple has a large Buddha statue. Overnight at Colombo.

Day 08

After breakfast, city and shopping tour of Colombo. Colombo is the largest city and former administrative capital of Sri Lanka and is a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern life and remnants of a bygone colonial era. Due to its large harbor and its strategic position along the East-West sea trade routes, Colombo was known to ancient traders 2,000 years ago. However it was only made the capital of the island when Sri Lanka was ceded to the British Empire in 1815. The main city is home to a majority of the Sri Lanka’s corporate offices, restaurants and entertainment venues. On this tour you will visit many of the historical, religious and commercial sites of Colombo including the historic and bustling Fort and Pettah, the elite residential Cinnamon Gardens, the Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park and much more.According to the flight schedule transfer to the airport for the departure.
